(27 Apr 2021) Dates for Y3 and Y4 Catholic Retreats


Hi all,

This is to inform the SJI community of the change in dates for our annual Catholic Retreats for our Year 3 and Year 4 catholic students. It will be a one day programme (8am-5pm) held in SJI on a Saturday.

The dates and students involved are as follows:

Year 3

Saturday, 15 May for catholic students from Y3 Fintan and Marcian fraternity.

Saturday, 29 May for catholic students from Y3 Michael and Lawrence fraternity

Year 4

Saturday, 3 July for OPAM catholic students

Saturday, 10 July for IPAM catholic students

a) Legion of Mary, Ark of the Covenant (AOC),

b) Legion of Mary, Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC)

c) Legion of Mary, Seat of Wisdom (SOW)

d) Years 3 and 4 students and teachers who may not be part of these 3 societies;

Venue 2: PAC - for members of the

a) Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP)

b) Legion of Mary, Refuge of Sinners (ROS) praesidium,

c) Years 5 and 6 students and teachers who may not be part of these 2 societies;

Venue 3:

LT1 - for members of the

Young Christian Students (YCS)

Legion of Mary, Queen of All Saints (QOAS)

Year 1 & Year 2 students and teachers who may not be part of these 2 societies.

2. Eucharist Celebration in place of Morning Prayer:

a) Monday, 8 March 2021 - in LT1

b) Wednesday, 10 March 2021 - in the Chapel

3. Lent Project 2021- week 2

a) Y1 and Y2 – food collection for Food from the Heart

b) Y3 and Y4 – cash donation for computers for needy children in a neighbour school

c) Y5 and Y6 – clothing and toiletries for migrant workers served by Itsrainingraincoast organisation

4. Lasallian Youth Camp

Compulsory for all Y1 Catholic Students. Information will be given to participants.

Date: 13 March 2021 (Saturday)

Time:9-5.30pm



Morning Prayer and Eucharist

This note serves to inform you about the arrangements for Morning Prayer and Eucharist (Mass).

In order to facilitate safe-distancing in the wake of the current pandemic, we will have 3 venues for Morning Prayer, which will be held simultaneously from 0710h to 0730h.

Venue 1:

Chapel - for members of the Legion of Mary (Ark of the Covenant (AOC), Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) and Seat of Wisdom (SOW) praesidia) as well as for Years 3 and 4 students and teachers who may not be part of these 3 societies;

Venue 2:

PAC - for members of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP) and the Refuge of Sinners Legion of Mary praesidium, as well as for Years 5 and 6 students and teachers who may not be part of these 2 societies;

Venue 3:

LT1 - for members of the Young Christian Students (YCS) and the Queen of All Saints (QOAS) Legion of Mary praesidium, as well as for Year 1 & Year 2 students and Year 1 and Year 2 teachers who may not be part of these 2 societies.

Eventually, Eucharist will be celebrated on 3 days of the week in place of Morning Prayer:

Monday - in LT1

Wednesday - in the Chapel

Friday - in the PAC.
